45+ years. In 1968 we began as a small maintenance company while I was attending NCSU, studying Horticulture Science.
What is your primary product or service?
Landscape and Irrigation Contracting. Design-Build-Maintain Landscapes. Customized Customer Service.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
At about 12 or 13 years old, began mowing grass, RAKING leaves, shoveling snow. BS Degree from NCSU in Horticulture Science. Eagle Scout-Son of an Eagle Scout-Brother of Two Eagle Scouts-Father of an Eagle Scout-Uncle of an Eagle Scout. Outdoorsman. Steward of the Environment.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Provide ALL Landscape Contracting Services. NC Licensed Landscape Contractor. NC Licensed Irrigation Contractor. BSHS NCSU Degreed Horticulturist. Follow Horticulturally correct procedures. Not a Mow-Blow-Go company. Follow layered pruning techniques-not crew-cut shearing. Prune according to the growth and flowering habits of the plant materials---as in plants that bloom on 'new' wood have a different pruning/fertilizing schedule than those that bloom on 'old' wood. Provide Landscape services customized to the individual customer's needs.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One location, no plans to add a second location.

Wake and surrounding counties. We have, for special requests done work in Charlotte, Greensboro, High Point, Lake Gaston, Sneeds Ferry, Wilmington---so we will travel.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
William D. Perkins, Sr.--general/overall operation Andrew B. Perkins--crew and project supervision (eventually take over all aspects of PNG, for the time being, learning, learning, learning...and building a credible reputation.)
What are your hours of operation?
Crews typically work +/- 7:00am-5pm, M-F Consultations offered at the customers convenience, 7 days a week
